Neighborhood House was selected as one of just 75 preschools across the country to receive a Wuzzleburg Preschool Garden Award from the National Gardening Association, the nation’s foremost clearinghouse and advocacy group for the benefits of gardening. Sponsored by the children’s television program, Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!, Neighborhood House will receive gardening supplies and educational resources from the National Gardening Association’s Gardening with Kids catalog.

Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!, a worldwide hit that airs on Nick Jr. and Noggin in the U.S., encourages fun and friendship among young children. So it’s fitting the Wuzzleburg Preschool Garden Award – named for the imaginary place where Wubbzy and friends live – would recognize a program like the one at Neighborhood House.

“The National Gardening Association is proud to provide this terrific preschool – chosen from a field of more than 1,000 applicants – with a gardening program,” says president Michael Metallo. “Neighborhood House was selected because their application demonstrated a commitment to creatively and actively engage young children in the gardening process as a way to help them get off to a great start and to develop a lifelong love of learning.”
